Hi, I’m Charityn! I’m a bilingual Registered Dietitian (English and Spanish) with more than 6 years of experience in patient care and 2 years as an RD. My path to becoming a dietitian was shaped by persistence and passion—I worked at Scripps Health while completing my Master’s degree, served as a teaching assistant, and conducted research on senior bone, cognitive, and GI health. I went on to complete over 1,000 hours of supervised practice at UCSD Health, gaining experience in areas such as clinical nutrition, transplant care, eating disorders, sports nutrition, and community health.
I hold certifications in Plant-Based Nutrition (Cornell), Dietetic Service Supervision, and ServSafe Food Management. I’ve also completed 2,000 hours of diabetes nutrition practice and am preparing to sit for the CDCES exam. My well-rounded background allows me to provide care that is both evidence-based and personalized, with a focus on building practical, lasting habits.
My “why” is simple: I first became interested in nutrition through my own journey to improve my health. Today, I feel fortunate to have a career where my success is measured by helping others improve theirs. I believe nutrition should be approachable, realistic, and empowering—never about restriction.
Outside of work, I’m passionate about creating resources, growing in my private practice journey, and using my bilingual skills to make nutrition care accessible to more communities. I look forward to supporting you on your health journey and helping you feel confident, nourished, and supported every step of the way.
"I provide supportive, evidence-based nutrition care in both English and Spanish. My approach is realistic and tailored to your lifestyle, helping you feel confident and empowered without stress or restriction. Together, we’ll create lasting habits that support your health and well-being"
