A successful session with me looks like making a manageable plan in achievable steps to get you where you want to go, knowing that changes can be made as often as needed. I find when we get as far into a concern as possible, we can determine the best steps together. This means asking you to trust my expertise and I promise to trust your lived experience.
Focus areas are wide spread include weight change (up or down) using any combination of food, exercise, and/or medicine that fit your lifestyle, cholesterol, blood pressure (including POTS), or liver concerns, diabetes (Type 1, 2, and prediabetes), pediatrics, gender health / HRT, GI concerns like Celiac, Crohn’s & Colitis, GERD, IBD/IBS, or gut health in general, sports performance, PCOS, POTS, eating disorders / disordered eating, food allergies or avoidances like vegan or vegetarian.
When I realized someone could make a career out of science and talking to people about food, I knew I had found my place. I completed two degrees in Nutrition/Dietetics, undergrad at Purdue University and Master’s at University of Central Oklahoma. I’ve been a Registered Dietitian since 2011 and have been lucky to work at Riley Hospital for Children, with workplace wellness, and with many students at Purdue University. Most of those positions have included a cooking component as well, which I’d be happy to support you through. Recently, I’ve started my own private practice to spend more time with clients, which is some of my favorite work.
In my free time, I have a hobby farm with apples, berries, bees, and ducks. It’s very cute almost all of the time.
My aim is to empower you with tailored advice for your health journey, meeting you where you are at and heading to your goals together. I use my experience to weave in impactful science to our conversation to make your day to day life better.
