Azi Ahmadi, MS, RDN, CDCES, CDN is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialist with more than 25 years of experience helping people improve their health, energy, metabolism, body composition, and athletic performance through personalized nutrition.
Her philosophy is simple: “The strongest medicine sits at the end of your fork.”
Azi earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University, completed her dietetic training at Mount Sinai Medical Center, and received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from Springfield College. Her background in both clinical nutrition and exercise physiology allows her to bring together nutrition, metabolism, movement, and performance in a highly individualized approach.
Azi works with a wide range of clients, with particular expertise in diabetes and prediabetes, blood sugar management, sports and endurance nutrition, weight management, healthy aging, and nutrition for women during perimenopause and postmenopause.
She understands that a woman’s nutritional needs can change significantly through the menopause transition. She helps women address changes in body composition, stubborn weight gain, loss of muscle, reduced energy, changes in blood sugar and insulin sensitivity, recovery, inflammation, and maintaining strength and performance with age. Her goal is not simply weight loss, but helping women remain strong, active, metabolically healthy, and confident throughout midlife and beyond.
As an athlete herself, Azi is also passionate about working with athletes and active individuals of all ages and ability levels — from recreational exercisers and first-time endurance athletes to competitive runners and lifelong athletes. She helps clients develop individualized strategies for fueling, hydration, recovery, body composition, muscle preservation and growth, blood sugar management, and performance without relying on restrictive diets or unnecessary food rules.
Through CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitor) coaching, Azi helps clients understand how food, exercise, sleep, stress, and daily habits influence blood sugar in real time. CGM can be a valuable educational tool not only for people with diabetes and prediabetes, but also for appropriate clients interested in better understanding their individual glucose patterns.
What makes Azi’s approach especially personal is that she doesn't just teach the principles of nutrition, training, and healthy aging — she lives them. After overcoming significant injuries and physical setbacks, she returned to competitive running in her 50s. Her own experience has given her a deeper appreciation for resilience, recovery, maintaining muscle and fitness with age, and the importance of properly fueling an active body.
Whether your goal is to improve your blood sugar, navigate perimenopause or postmenopause, lose body fat while preserving muscle, build strength, improve athletic performance, fuel an endurance event, or simply feel healthier and more energetic, Azi creates realistic and individualized strategies designed to fit your life.
Her approach combines evidence-based nutrition with practical, sustainable changes. The goal isn't perfection or a temporary diet — it's helping you understand your body and build habits you can maintain for life.
What makes my approach unique is that i don't just teach it, I live it myself. After overcoming injuries and physical setbacks, i was able to return to competitive running through proper nutrition, strength training , recovery and consistency. That experience gave me a deeper understanding of resilience, metabolism, healing, and the powerful role nutrition and blood sugar balance plays in both performance and longevity. I've helped thousands of people improve their health.
