Background

My interest in nutrition and fitness started when I was in high school and became a semi-vegetarian. Simply put, I felt better when I ate healthier and in cooperated activity compared to time periods I did not. These small changes became habits (like brushing my teeth) and a lifestyle which led me to pursue my BS and MS degrees in nutrition. I have been practicing as a registered dietitian -nutritionist for 3 decades (time sure flies)!

I have had the opportunity to work with different ages and see many types of medical diagnoses in both hospitals and out-patient clinics. In addition, my love for wellness, has allowed me to witness how exercise and nutrition can help reduce the risk and/or progression of disease. The good news is these are things we can control and modify to enhance our health and longevity.

I enjoy helping people meet goals-whether it be reducing blood sugar, achieving weight loss, enhancing physical activity, etc. This is what makes me want to go to work every day.  I want to get to know the real you and what drives you. We are in this adventure together and I want you to succeed in meeting your long and short-term goals.

When I am not wearing my dietitian shoes (which my family thinks I always wear), I love to be active outdoors. Hiking, walking, gardening, exercising and skiing and some of the activities I enjoy. I also like to experiment with recipes and find new ways to make foods healthier- there always is a way to tweak something.

The saying that resonates most to me is little changes done consistently produce more results that big changes done occasionally. Let's work on that together to help you meet your long- term nutrition goals.

I look forward to knowing you!
