Hello! I’m Leah, a Registered Dietitian and yoga instructor from eastern long island New York. I started in the health & wellness in the field of nutrition in 1996. I began my career in culinary arts with a strong passion for food, cooking and healthy eating; ultimately finding my calling in the nutrition field and completed nutrition bachelors at CW Post Long Island University, a Masters degree & the Dietetic internship at SUNY Stony Brook. For nearly three decades I have been committed to promoting wellness & nutrition lifestyles in multitude of healthcare settings including; community lecturing, formal nutrition education in schools & college, private & group nutrition outpatient counseling, teaching kitchens, farmers markets & food programs, served as a nutritional resource for medical school and universities, and working in food service management in the inpatient hospital settings. Nutrition is one of the aspects of living that affects every single one of us-its one thing that unites us. I believe we all have the right to understand our bodies and how to make well informed decisions to lead the healthiest lifestyle we possible can throughout all stages of our life cycles, we can do this through nutrition & overall wellness.
Every persons lifestyle and eating patterns are unique to them and are impacted by a myriad factors whether it be environmental, social, cultural, genetic and so on. This requires wholistic approach in which we will work to identify your key contributors and develop an individualized plan that is realistic and sustainable to meeting your personal health & wellness goals.
