Background

Hi, I’m Shannon Tsakalakis, a Registered Dietitian with over 20 years of experience helping people build a healthy and sustainable relationship with food. My approach is simple yet incredibly effective. I listen to your needs and desires and provide practical, achievable goals that fit your lifestyle. Whether you’re looking to improve your energy, manage a health condition, or simply feel better in your body, I’m here to guide and support you.

My passion for nutrition started early—I’ve always been fascinated by food, from how it grows to how it fuels our bodies. Even learning how different foods interact with each other for varying effects. I studied at the University of Georgia and completed my dietetic internship in Virginia. Over the years, I’ve worked with a variety of clients and even assisted in opening a Cardiac Rehab Institute. I believe in helping you navigate nutrition in a way that feels approachable and realistic.

I grew up in the South and Midwest, and but have called Colorado home for the last 15+ years. When I’m not working with clients, you can find me cooking up new recipes, walking my dog, or cheering on my son at his baseball games. I also have a love for photography, gardening, and soaking in the beauty of fall leaves.

At the heart of my work is a simple belief: food should nourish both your body and your life. If you’re looking for a dietitian who understands real-life challenges and will help you reach your goals in a way that makes sense for you, I’d love to connect!

Approach

My approach to nutrition therapy is practical, compassionate, and rooted in real life—not perfection. I believe nutrition should support your health and fit into your day-to-day routine. There is no one-size-fits-all plan, and lasting change doesn’t come from restriction, guilt, or chasing the latest diet trend.
