Hello! My name is Phoebe, and I am a registered dietitian and founder of Waller Nutrition, a private practice that focuses on eating disorders, chronic diseases, and general health. Food and nutrition have been cornerstones of my life for as long as I can remember. Eventually, a love for science, food, and people led me into the field of Nutrition. I attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville for both undergraduate and graduate school. I left undergraduate lectures in awe of our bodies' ability to take what we eat and utilize it to keep us alive day to day. In graduate school, I began to notice how an oversaturated nutrition space online and diet culture talk causes false and harmful information to be spread along with fear, stress, and anxiety for the clients I was working with. My goal with this private practice is to de-shame, de-blame, and help reframe my clients understanding of nourishment and themselves. My experience as an RD includes residential eating disorder treatment, acute care, and outpatient chronic diseases. In my free time, I like to cheer on the Tennessee sports (go vols!), hike, read, and shop at TJ Maxx.
"The client is the expert in their own experience. My goal is to make clients feel heard and understood as humans, not as a disease or behavior. My goal is to collaborate in creating outside of the box interventions in order to help clients reach their goals. I want to make evidenced based guidelines feel feasible in practice. I believe that people heal better in community, and I would like to be a meaningful member of my client's communities."
