Background

Hello! I am Melanie Lewis, a registered dietitian with a passion for helping people navigate the connection between nutrition and health. My journey into nutrition began at an early age when I was more interested in learning about how to read a nutrition facts label than sitting through a high school science class. Throughout my 10 years of practice, I’ve had the privilege of supporting clients in managing chronic conditions like kidney disease, heart disease, and diabetes. I’ve also worked extensively with individuals pursuing bariatric surgery and tackling the complexities of weight management—an area that requires not only strategy but also compassion and understanding.

As a new expecting mom, I’ve faced my own challenges with gestational diabetes, diagnosed early due to my pre-diabetic status and strong family history of diabetes. Even as a dietitian, managing blood sugar levels, curbing cravings, and balancing an increased appetite has been overwhelming and, at times, frustrating. This experience has deepened my empathy for those on similar journeys and reinforced my belief in the importance of personalized, realistic nutrition support.

My mission for my practice is to create a supportive, non-judgmental space where you feel empowered to take charge of your health. I understand firsthand how emotional and complex managing nutrition can be, and I’m here to guide you with evidence-based strategies that fit your unique needs.

When I’m not working with clients, you’ll find me experimenting with new recipes, reading a suspenseful mystery novel, watching Netflix, or swimming in the pool.

Let’s work together to create a plan that supports your goals, nurtures your well-being, and helps you feel your best—no matter where you are in life.
