Kristy Thomas is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist with a master’s degree in human environmental studies from Southeast Missouri State University, where she also served as an adjunct instructor teaching nutrition. This strong foundation in education allows Kristy to break down complex health topics into easy-to-understand concepts, ensuring you leave consultations with a clearer understanding of health and nutrition.
After her tenure at Southeast Missouri State University, Kristy worked for nine years in an in-patient psychiatric hospital on the chemical dependency and rehabilitation unit. During this time, she gained extensive experience in helping patients heal through nutrition on their path to recovery. Kristy’s approach embraces diversity, rejecting a “one diet fits all” mentality in favor of counseling sessions tailored to meet your unique needs and focusing on goals that are realistic, attainable, and sustainable.
Kristy specializes in weight management, heart disease, and gastrointestinal disorders, with a particular interest in diet modifications following bowel resection surgery.
