Background

Welcome!

I’m John, a registered dietitian and Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist with over 20 years of experience in the nutrition field. I also hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and Food Science and Master’s Degree in Public Health.

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. I love to travel and experience different cultures, especially through their food. I understand the power of food and how it connects us. However, I also know how we sometimes use food to deal with stress.

My goal is to find ways to improve your health while enjoying life. Finding balance will lead to long-term success, and a healthy relationship with food is one of the keys to achieving that success.

Why did I become a dietitian? My journey began when I was 17 years-old. I was obese and heading for a lifetime of chronic illness. I tried all the fad diets and starved myself. I lost weight, but I always gained it back. It took me years to figure out that focusing on a sustainable, healthy lifestyle is essential for long-term success. That’s the knowledge I want to share with you. Nutrition and health became my hobby, so I decided I should make it my career.

My clients can expect engaging and collaborative sessions, starting with an assessment of your current health status and your goals. Follow-up sessions will be dedicated to achieving those goals and support.

Approach

"I’m John, a registered dietitian and Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist. I also hold a Master’s Degree in Public Health. I always get asked why I became a nutritionist. My short answer is that I found something that I love to do, and I found a way to make it my career. More importantly, though, is that it gives me the opportunity to help people using the knowledge I've gained over my 23 years in the nutrition field. My clients can expect engaging and collaborative sessions."
