I have been a Registered Dietitian since 1989. I received my B.S. in Dietetics from
Michigan State University. I completed my dietetic internship at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. After working 8 years in a hospital setting in both Michigan and North Carolina, I went on to graduate school at the University of North Carolina in Charlotte and received my M.S. in Health Promotion. I have since worked in a variety of settings including a dialysis center, a school system and a community health center.
I have background in working with a wide variety of clients: weight management, diabetes, renal, cardiovascular, sports nutrition, oncology, gastrointestinal issues, pediatrics, pre and post natal nutrition.
I love to get to know my clients as I counsel them and provide materials to them that are geared just to them. I have also worked in retail and have gained excellent customer service skills that I have found helps in my counseling. The bottom-line is I love working with people and find it very rewarding to help them reach their nutrition goals.
"I have been a Registered Dietitian for over 35 years and I love to help clients with their nutritional needs. I not only focus on sharing the knowledge I have learned on nutrition, but the personal experiences of mine through the years- marathon runner in all 50 states, Six World Major Marathon finisher, Ironman athlete, breast cancer survivor and mother of 3- I truly do practice what I have learned in the field of nutrition and I love to help others."
