I have been in practice as a Registered Dietitian for 20+ years. I have an Associate's Degree and a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition. For the past 30 + years I have worked on living a healthy lifestyle dedicated to eating a whole foods approach with indulgences in moderation. I have been practicing Yoga, Pilates, Race Walking and Esscentric Training for years. I have been very interested in nutrition from an early age due to my mother's interest in nutrition. It was this influence that provided the enthusiasm for becoming a Dietitian to help others. I am also a Lifestyle Coach and have been counseling with patients to help them adopt ways to live a healthier lifestyle through behavior modification and goal setting. Clients can expect a non-judgmental approach in sessions with me. I ask the client what their main health concerns are and together we set realistic goals based on their health concerns that are attainable for them. I realize a client will have set backs and I help the client work through that. Small changes = big results!
"My approach when working with clients leans toward a no-diet approach that allows all foods to be eaten with moderation towards some foods. The ideal client is someone that is either contemplating change or is ready for change. I like to start my initial session by getting to know what your behavioral triggers are that may be keeping you from obtaining a healthier lifestyle. Together we set realistic goals that you agree on which will empower change that will last a lifetime!"
