My passion for nutrition started pretty young. I always loved being in the kitchen, trying new recipes, and making my plates colorful. Growing up playing competitive sports, I quickly understood the strong tie between nutrition and athletic performance. In my youth, I also faced a lot of pressures to eat and look a certain way, which led me to having strict rules around food. When I began studying nutrition in college, I realized these strict rules were actually doing more harm to my health and lowering my performance.

I completed my bachelors in Food and Nutrition at the University of Alabama and obtained my masters in Medical Nutrition from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
I started Power at the Plate to help others establish a healthy relationship with food, while learning to adequately nourish their body. I know the world of nutrition is difficult to navigate and I strive to help others make practical, sustainable changes for longevity. I believe all foods can fit into a healthy diet. My main goal is to empower others to trust their bodies and feel confident in knowing how to take care of their body. Food is fuel and so much more, and I believe in finding room to enjoy all that it is.
When I am not being a dietitian, I enjoy coaching softball, thrifting, going to concerts, and traveling.
