Hi,
My name is Elliott, and I have been a registered dietitian for over two years now. My time thus far has been primarily spent in the hospital and skilled nursing settings.
Areas of focus for me include prediabetes, diabetes, kidney disease, weight management, and general nutrition.
It is extremely rewarding to share advice and strategies that can help improve someone's health and ultimately, quality of life. However, I do recognize that you know your body better than a stranger.
Listening is the most important skill an educator can have. You can expect to have my undivided attention for the duration of our session.
Prior to becoming a dietitian, I worked briefly in corporate America. Post Covid, I started my own moving and labor business while finishing up my dietitian internship.
Keeping up with the ever-changing world of nutrition is a job in and of itself. Outside of that, my passions include my family, playing piano, working out, and dabbling in the stock market.
"As an RD, I believe in meeting people where they are, and listening to understand their needs. My approach involves following the tenet of motivational interviewing. Rather than having myself dominate each session, my role is akin to a guide. By understanding how far an individual is in their journey, I can be a more effective facilitator. My ideal client is anyone who is willing to engage. Whether coming for yourself or a loved one, I am happy to provide guidance, support, and strategy."
