Background

Hi! My name is Ellen and I am a RD and CDCES, practicing for 24 years. I graduated from Iowa State University with my BS in Nutrition and Dietetics and Ball State University with my MS in Nutrition and Dietetics.

Pursuing a career in dietetics started in high school as I was an avid athlete and knew nutrition played a vital role in performance. After grad school, I was lucky to start my career in pediatric diabetes and have branched to adult diabetes (Type 1 and 2), insulin pump and CGM therapy, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, intuitive eating, weight management, sports nutrition, PCOS, celiac, selective eating, and much more.

I love food and talking about food! I want to help you have a healthy relationship with food and your body. We know making change isn't easy and often takes a lot of motivation. I have an easy going personality but also want to challenge you into achieving the success you want.

In my spare time (does that exist?), I am running everywhere with my 2 kiddos and their sporting events. We love traveling, making new foods and trying new restaurants, and anything that can get us outdoors.

Let's have fun with helping you achieve your goals, approach fears and taking away any shame or guilt. Let's go! Can't wait to chat with you.
