My name is Corina Spalding, I am a midwest dietitian passionate about the power of nutrition on overall health. I completed my undergraduate degree and internship through Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI. Both my education and practice hours were focused on plant-based nutrition.
I began my dietetic journey in a clinical setting, serving patients in the hospital but felt this was not where I truly belonged. I soon transferred over into outpatient weight loss and bariatrics where I was able to spend lots of one-on-one time with patients struggling with weight, emotional eating, PCOS, diabetes and more. I knew this was the work I had always wanted to do. However, I struggled putting so many dietary restrictions on my patients and asking them to give up foods they loved when there was so much more happening beneath the surface. I wanted to teach a more root cause, long-term philosophy.
In my practice, my passion is identifying the reasons clients are driven to eat a certain way and how they can holistically address conditions such as PCOS, acne, hormonal health, diabetes, and obesity. With so many diet rules swirling around us today, I hope to bring a refreshing, straight forward and personal approach to nutrition. Through my own struggles with hormonal health + acne, my passion for women's health was born through all I was able to learn. I now strive to listen and help as many women as possible.
