Claire Allen MS RDN LDN is a nutrition expert with a focus on gastrointestinal disease and disorders. She received her Master’s in Science in Nutrition from the University of Illinois at Chicago and has worked in a private outpatient gastroenterology clinic the past 4+ years. Her expertise includes dietary management of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO), Crohn's disease, Celiac disease, Ulcerative Colitis (UC), Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE), Congenital Sucrase Isomaltase Deficiency (CSID), Gastroparesis, GERD and low histamine diets. Claire enjoys working with patients to help improve their quality of life and manage their medical conditions through food. She likes to meet patients were they are at and provide an individualized approach to identifying their food sensitivities with an ultimate goal to liberalize their diet as much as possible. Clients can expect to be heard, respected, and walk away with a unique nutrition care plan that fits within their lifestyle. Nutrition is a second career for Claire who chose to follow her true passions in life: nutrition and helping others. When not counseling, you will find her in nature enjoying her favorite pastimes, hiking or kayaking.
