Meeting with a Dietitian can be very intimidating, and let's be honest ... a little frustrating. Change is hard! Whether you were just diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes or Renal Failure, your world has been turned upside down. As your Dietitian I will take the time to find what works best for you.
Growing up in a rural community and seeing clients from all walks of life and ages has prepared me for a very versatile practice. I have experience in prenatal/postpartum and pediatric nutrition. I have worked in acute care settings, Long-term care, and out-patient nutrition care. I have experience working with dialysis patients and enteral nutrition. I also have worked with weight loss and bariatric programs.
My education background includes a Master's Degree from Marshall University in which I completed an ACEND-accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics Internship. I am nationally registered and licensed in Ohio, WV, and KY with additional state licenses on the horizon.
From a personal standpoint, I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, kayaking, paddleboarding, and gardening. I have way too many animals. Overall, I'm just trying to be the best human I can be. What is life without joy?
I like to meet my clients where they are. Everyone has their own experiences and expectations. Medical nutrition therapy is not a "one size fits all" practice. A personalized approach makes all the difference.
