Background

Hey there! I'm Ashley, Registered Dietitian (RD). I have been in practice as an RD for almost five years. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Foods, Nutrition, and Dietetics from Carson-Newman University in East Tennessee where I also played collegiate golf. Upon graduation, I moved back home to Chicago, IL where I completed my Master of Science in Nutrition and Wellness from Benedictine University.

I have roughly five years experience working as an Inpatient and Outpatient RD for the hospital system, with a broad client base ranging from infancy to geriatrics. This means I have worked with a lot of different potential diagnoses.

Being an RD has been one of the most fulfilling achievements in my life. I've gotten to work with so many amazing people and help them find/reach their potential and more! After years of struggling with nutrition myself (battling overweight and then anorexia), it finally clicked for me and I began to see the power in nutrition. That's what I want my clients to see -- no matter why you're being seen by me!

When working with me, you can expect to learn a lot, push yourself, reach your goals, but also have fun!

I'm married to the love of my life, Jared, who is a Physical Therapist, so we're often referred to as the "health and wellness couple!" We just welcomed our first son in to the world in January 2025. Our hobbies include CrossFit training, being outside, taking beach vacations, and playing with our chocolate lab, Hudson! Fun fact: I have NEVER broken a bone (knock on wood)!

Approach

"Come as you are. If I've learned anything in the last almost 5 years of being a dietitian it is the importance of meeting individuals where they are. Whether you are interested in weight loss or improving an acute or chronic disease, I would love to help be the educator and encourager you need along the journey. I like to use a non-diet approach with my clients, adapting as needed, to develop the best plan for YOU. Nutrition is not a one-size fits all. Let's navigate your situation together!"
