I am a registered dietitian nutritionist with a Bachelor of Science from Southeast Missouri State University. I have been working in the clinical space for several years, educating and counseling patients both in and out of the hospital setting. Inpatient, I have worked with a wide variety of clients from oncology, cardiovascular to end of life care. While outpatient, I was the lead dietitian for a cardiac rehabilitation program and an outpatient heart failure program.
Working in the hospital setting, with patients near the end of their life, has fostered my approach to working with clients. I’ve seen so many people being told by their doctors that they needed to be on a specialized diet for their health, but were miserable not being able to enjoy what they ate. Nutrition is just one facet of a healthy and joyful life, and I am passionate about helping clients achieve goals they have set for themselves, not just ones that their doctor has dictated for them.
When I’m not helping people through nutrition counseling and education, I’m busy as a single mother of two kids. My days are full of work, school activities with my children, making messes in the kitchen and content creation for my love of reading. So I can absolutely relate to clients who have a hectic schedule and home life!
"I work with clients to create individualized nutrition care that is client-centered. I focus on how we can create a better relationship with food and make your diet (or no diet approach) work for you and your unique lifestyle. I am driven through compassion and empathy. My goal is to facilitate you achieving your goals no matter how big or small so that you can live your life the way you want."
