Hi, I'm Aisha. I have 20 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian and hold an MS in Nutrition & Dietetics. My career spans private practice, community health, clinical settings, and long-term care, and I founded the Crescent clinic WIC program. I have also worked in pediatric settings with malnourished children in Africa. I live in Raymore, Missouri and graduated from Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana, and outside of work I enjoy reading Quran, and volunteering in community service. I hold credentials as an LDN, RDN, LD, and RD, and I bring warmth, curiosity, and a practical, science-based approach to support lasting change.
Care philosophy
My care philosophy is a partnership built on science, empathy, and practicality. I base recommendations on current evidence and tailor them to your daily life, preferences, and values. We’ll explore your relationship with food, set clear short-term goals, and translate complex nutrition into simple, doable steps. I embrace a weight-neutral, HAES-inspired approach that prioritizes health and behavior over any number on a scale. Together, we’ll build sustainable habits that fit your life and your goals.
What to expect in your first session
Our first appointment is all about you. We'll treat it as a warm, collaborative conversation, not a test. We'll review your medical history and any labs or biometrics you have, and we'll establish 1 to 2 short-term goals to get started. We'll explore your relationship with food and how daily routines shape choices, and together we'll outline a practical meal plan. Please complete the intake forms before our session; I will review demographics, medical history, medications and supplements, food allergies or intolerances, lifestyle factors, and any available labs such as glucose, A1C, lipid panel, or electrolytes. No pressure, we're in this together.
I believe that nutrition care should be personalized, compassionate, and practical. Rather than prescribing a one-size-fits-all plan, I work closely with each patient to understand their medical history, cultural food preferences, lifestyle, and personal goals. Together, we create realistic nutrition strategies that fit into everyday life and can be sustained long-term.
My counseling style combines evidence-based MNT with motivational interviewing behavior-change techniques.
