Background

For the past 20 years, Julie Avery, RDN, LDN, CLC has been a research scientist learning about the interconnection among human, animal, and environmental health. She discovered that one of the most effective ways to improve health of populations is to improve nutrition in early life.

After being a professor for 5 years, Julie went back to school and completed over 1000 hours of clinical nutrition training in adult and pediatric hospitals to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).

As a Clinical Dietitian, Julie has spent time helping hospital patients with cardiovascular disease, diabetes, kidney disease, and IBD, including Crohn’s, learning how nutrition can play a big part in the progress of their disease. She thrives working with complex nutrition patients, and loves spending time getting to know her patients and helping them in their unique journey with food.

If you are ready to make peace with food, Serenity Nutrition will be your partner to identify the most appropriate foods for your individualized health needs, your lifestyle, and your budget. Wherever you are in your wellness journey, we will help you identify the nutrients you need at every age and stage of life.

Approach

My passion is helping individuals make peace with food. So many have been steam-rolled by diet culture and are afraid to eat 'the wrong' food. I identify your individual health needs and find practical, evidence based solutions that work for your life and your family.
