As cliché as it may be, I’d like to introduce myself. Hiya! My name is Munirih (Muh-near-uh) and I’m a Registered Dietitian Nutrition (RDN) who holds a license in the state of IL. To get the rest of the credentials out of the way, I also have my masters in dietetics, bachelors in nutrition and dietetics, and associates in early childhood development.
With years of professional experience, I’ve had the honor of serving thousands of clients in inpatient, outpatient and residential settings. During my time as an RDN so far, I’ve gravitated towards transplant and immunocompromised hosts, eating disorders and disordered eating habits, neurodegenerative disease states, prediabetes and diabetes, cardiovascular health, cancer/oncology, gut health, weight management (including gain, loss and stability), physical rehabilitation (including injury and burn), and general nutrition.
Should you ask my prior clients to describe me, they’ll tell you I’m a combination of three main things; (1) I have a knack for learning who my clients are and how best to support them, (2) I’m adaptable and reliant, and (3) I bring joy into even the darkest of spaces.
I recognize our food journeys are not short-term; however, I view each step as its own goal, building up to a life of intuitive eating and food friendship. My end goal with each client? To set you up for success and coach you through growth to a point where you may no longer need me. Each session will be tailored to meet you where you’re at. My focus? Sustainable lifestyle changes (including relationships with food, sleep and exercise), healing the mind-body connection and a non-diet approach.
My life outside of dietetics includes traveling, learning new languages, and a love for walking. On my days off, you can find me in the sun, nannying sweet littles, or hosting creative events for friends and strangers, who I consider to be friends I have not yet met.
"To put it forward, I love life. I love how we are created to grow exponentially throughout our lifetime, accompanied only by the boundaries we set for ourselves. As a Registered Dietitian, I prioritize nurturing sustainable lifestyle changes within my clients and using food as a tool, instead of seeing it as a task. As an individual, I ensure each client is met where they're at, welcomed into the space we create together and held accountable to the goals each client sets for themselves."
