Hello, I’m Michelle, a dietitian based in the Midwest. I started practicing in 2018, and during that time I’ve worked in many different settings, including a dialysis clinic and various types of hospitals. In my free time I enjoy reading, running, boxing, and cross-stitching.
There are two things I’ve always really loved about being a dietitian. The first is getting to know people and what each enjoys eating, who meals are shared with, or what each person finds important for nutrition. The second is that, even though making changes to such a big part of our lives can be a little scary sometimes, I get to be there with you and help make the transition a little bit easier.
Because of my hospital experience, I’m familiar with a wide variety of diets and restrictions, whether they are lifelong or just for right now. I also decided to work toward and earned a board-certified specialty in nutrition for older populations a few years ago. This means that I specialize in managing some concerns that we see affecting nutrition more frequently as we get older but can affect anyone at any time. Some examples are loss of appetite, taste changes, chronic illnesses, and increased protein needs (to name just a few).
Looking forward to getting to know you!
I’m so excited to learn about your favorite foods and how those can play a role in helping you achieve your nutrition goals!
