As someone who’s struggled with being overweight for most of my life (and even morbidly obese for several years), I know firsthand how frustrating and difficult losing weight can be. I spent years trying (and failing at) diets, fads, workout programs, infomercial products, medications; you name it, I tried it. And while I had some progress here and there, none of it stuck.
When I became a mom, I was determined to find something that would stick and turn my life around. That’s when I decided to become a registered dietitian. What better career choice to help me figure out what it really takes to get healthy, right?
Several years and many failed attempts later, I'm happy to share that I’ve FINALLY met my personal goals and am still maintaining my results. I don't take my success for granted and I'm determined to be an example to help others reach and maintain their goals.
In my practice, I combine my personal experiences, nutritional knowledge, and clinical expertise to share what I know with you. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to nutrition therapy. Together, we'll examine your current habits, challenges, beliefs, and strengths to build an individualized plan that will work for YOU.
Let’s get started!
Healthy food should taste good! No matter your nutritional goals are, I can help you reach them AND enjoy what you eat along the way. Rather than giving you a list of foods that you "can't" eat, I like to focus on adding foods to your routine that are better suited to your needs AND wants.
I understand that many people coming to see me have tried several methods in the past without lasting success. I emphasize getting to the root of your obstacles so that we can overcome them together!
