Background

Over the past 20 plus years I have had the honor and pleasure of helping hundreds of clients achieve their nutrition goals. I consider myself a nutrition "specialist" as I devote all my time and attention to three areas of dietetics: Women's Health, Diabetes and Weight Management. I hold a master's degree in nutrition from Texas A&M University (whoop!) and am certified as a Diabetes Care and Education Specialist. My passion for women's health (pregnancy, PCOS, weight management etc.) comes from my tenure working with a stellar group of OBGYNs. During this time I have developed several programs specific for women's health concerns. I have also had the honor of being awarded Dietitian of the Year from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. In addition to practicing dietetics, I am also passionate about teaching and training college students who are studying to become registered dietitians. In 2019, I started a non-profit organization to provide working opportunities for students through a program called "Fork Friendly". College students working with Fork Friendly spend countless hours reviewing grocery products and restaurant menu items (so you don't have to). This has allowed us to develop a platform that makes shopping, eating out and menu planning a cinch by guiding you to the better-for-you products at the point of purchase. My patients have taught me, that simple modifications are the best approach for long-term success. I am well aware "one-size" does not "fit-all" and spend time in counseling learning about you, your family, your behaviors, past success and failures and build a program specific to your needs. I consider myself caring, compassionate and practical, and strive to make your nutrition journey a positive and joyful experience.
