Background

I'm Katie Whitson, your go-to Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with a passion for guiding others toward a healthier relationship with food and movement. My journey into this field started with a background in exercise science, where I worked closely with athletes to optimize their performance.

But it was my own personal struggles that reshaped my career path. As a former fitness competitor, I know firsthand the challenges of disordered eating and overexercise. That's why I shifted my focus to helping individuals navigate these issues and find balance in their lives.

With a master's degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics under my belt, I've spent a significant portion of my career working in inpatient and residential settings for eating disorders. I've delved into evidence-based approaches like Family-Based Treatment (FBT) and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) to empower individuals to heal their relationships with food and movement.

Beyond my professional credentials, I'm also a certified personal trainer and a lover of the great outdoors, especially here in beautiful Colorado. When I'm not helping clients, you'll likely find me lost in the pages of a romantasy or thriller novel, or spending quality time with my husband and our vocal husky, Maverick.

I'm driven by a deep commitment to holistic wellness, and I'm here to support you every step of the way on your journey to a healthier, happier life. Let's work together to unleash your full potential and embrace a lifestyle filled with balance, vitality and joy.
