My name is Katie Derrick and I am a registered and licensed dietitian with over 20 years of experience practicing from a true whole-health perspective. I am deeply committed to meeting people exactly where they are in their health journey-creating realistic, affordable, and sustainable plans that empower long-term lifestyle change rather than quick fixes. I am graduate of the University of Georgia and specialize in a wide range of clinical and functional nutrition areas, including renal disease, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, pre- and post-operative bariatrics, weight management, GLP-1 medication support, and complex gastrointestinal issues. I work with patients across the lifespan-pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics-bringing compassion, clarity, and practicality to every encounter. My whole-health philosophy is also reflected at home-my husband is a chiropractor who shares the same integrative approach, and together we raise two beautiful, energetic children who keep life full of movement and joy. Outside of my practice, I love to cook and developing new recipes with my kids, staying active through exercise, hiking and playing pickleball. I believe that effective nutrition care should always be simple, realistic, and accessible, and I take pride in helping each patient feel seen, supported, and confident in their ability to take the next step-no matter where they're starting.
I practice from a whole-health perspective-looking far beyond just food or numbers to understand the full picture of each person's lifestyle, stress, environment, culture, preferences, and long-term goals. I believe that nutrition is never a one-size-fits-all approach and take pride in fully customizing every plan to seamlessly fit a client's real, everyday life.
