Background

My background is in nutrition and public health.  Over many years, I have worked in  diverse arenas in the nutrition field, and I enjoy working with people of all ages and backgrounds. I spent many years as a faculty member at the University of Nevad, Reno School of Medicine where I had to opportunity to teach, do research, and provide clinical services.  Most recently, I have been working with very young children with special needs and their families.  However, I also have a background in geriatrics and I enjoy working with all the ages in between as well!

 I believe that we are each the experts of our own health.  I enjoy helping my clients work toward improving their diets for better physical and mental health. 

I have been a vegetarian for over 45 years as I am interested in the effect our dietary choices have on the environment and on our food supply. However, I respect different dietary choices that reflect individual values and customs. 

I have been a horsewoman for most of my life, and I have a horse named Indie that I've had since he was born.  I enjoy gardening and being outdoors as much as possible.  I live in a rural area in northern Nevada.
