My focus turned to nutrition as a kid when I was diagnosed with type-1 diabetes. As I grew up, I wanted to use my knowledge and experience to help others make sense of diabetes management. This drove me to earn my nutrition degree from the University of Arizona. I have since developed a wide breadth of experience as a clinical Registered Dietitian for over 3yrs. Though my specialty lies with diabetes management due to my own personal experiences, I also focus on heart health, gut health, general wellness, and sports nutrition.
I am a huge advocate for being active as part of our health no matter our conditions. I have experience competing in 8 different sports since childhood with over 12yrs of athletic experience as a thrower in track and field. I competed as a scholarship athlete on the University of Arizona’s track and field team during my time there. I continue to train and throw to this day now as a professional Highland Games competitor. I love finding ways to modify and build activity into everyone’s life in addition to nutritional strategies.
I draw on my personal and professional experiences when working with my clients. You can expect to be understood and like you have a clear, simple plan that suits you. I aim to help you identify areas to work through, barriers, and creative solutions to meet your goals together.
