Theresa Helmuth, RD

Theresa earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University and completed her Dietetic Program at Oakwood University in Alabama. Theresa has practiced clinical dietetics for many years and is a Certified Specialist in Renal Nutrition (CSR). Theresa's practice focuses on helping people with weight management and develop a healthy relationship with food. Theresa’s experience as an inpatient and renal dietitian has created a strong foundation, working with various disease states and diverse populations. She is a strong advocate for intuitive eating and is what she practices and preaches to her clients. She focuses on an individualized approach to get to the root cause of client’s health issues. Theresa’s career as a dietitian was influenced by overcoming her past struggles with food and understands what it’s like having a poor relationship with food. She believes medical nutrition therapy is an important treatment in managing various disease states. As a mother and a wife, Theresa has a desire for caring and empathizing with others. Theresa enjoys taking barre classes, running, spending time with family, friends and her chocolate labrador retriever, Ella.
