Hello! My name is Lindsey and I love food! Ever since I was a little girl I have loved eating. Just ask my mom. She would set me in a high chair with a pile of buttered noodles and I would eat all of it. But, food didn't always like me. When I was 11, I was diagnosed with celiac disease. I had dealt with severe abdominal pain, malnutrition, memory loss, hives, and severe anxiety leading up to the diagnosis - all because of something I would eat every day - gluten. Who knew one simple ingredient could do so much. I was instantly fascinated by the body's connection (or more often disconnect) with food. This painful yet purposeful journey has led me to be a dietitian.
I got my bachelors in Nutrition Science at The University of Colorado in Colorado Springs back in 2018. After working with another dietitian at an intensive cardiac rehab program and an internship I became a Registered Dietitian in 2020. I have been working as a clinical dietitian in a hospital for the past 5 years (and counting!). I love working with all the different disciplines and coming up with plans and interventions for patients. I have also had the opportunity to work outpatient in a diabetes clinic and weight loss surgery clinic. Through all of these experiences I have learned how much I love helping people live their life well. I want to provide people with reliable and researched nutrition information in easy to digest ways. Let’s work together to achieve your goals.
"I am passionate about eating! But, sometimes, things get tricky... My aim is to help, encourage, and educate all my clients to live full and delicous lives! I have celiac disease and a multitude of other food allergies which can make life a little more difficult. So, I can easily relate to the tough changes that need to be made to live a healthier life. None of us are perfect but we can work together to be better!"
