As a CDCES (Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist), I teach patients about the disease process, survival skills, and prevention of diabetic complications. I counsel and support patients on glucose monitoring, diabetes technology, individual nutrition plans, and physical activities. I have a wide experience working with patients suffering from kidney disease. I help ESRD (end-stage renal disease) patients who are on highly restrictive diet regimens to achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes while maintaining quality of life.
I love reading recipes; I have amassed a great collection of cooking books that inspire me to cook and make me marvel at how most common foods are interpreted in different cultures.
"I believe in a healthy relationship with food. Food should be enjoyable and it will nourish our body and soul. My approach is about making smart choices in each unique circumstances Meal planning is one of the essential tools to manage diet while navigating daily challenges. It would make one more confident and equip with knowledge to reach desired outcome."
