Hi! I’m Katy Fung, a Registered Dietitian and Board Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition with over 10 years of experience in nutrition and wellness. I developed a love for food early in life, where my parents taught me how to prepare meals using ingredients from our garden. Some of my fondest memories involve cooking dishes like pork and chive dumplings.
When not seeing patients, I enjoy educating the local community with presentations and food lectures on cancer prevention, diabetes, heart health, mind health and wellness. Often, you will find me exploring New York City’s concrete jungle in search for the next best food and writing poems. I have been a guest speaker at various organizations, including Cancer and Careers.
I earned my MS in Clinical Nutrition from NYU, BA in Dietetics from CUNY, Queens College and have been awarded Dietitian of the Year from New York Presbyterian Hospital.
"My approach draws on empathetic listening with a focus on nutrition care that is customized to your goals and needs. My coaching style is tailored to different backgrounds focusing on what works for you, whether it is based on your busy lifestyle, cost-effective alternatives or your preferred ethnic cuisine. I have successfully helped clients enhance their nutritional well-being and guided them on the path to alleviating chronic conditions that medication alone could not fix."
