Background

I have been a Registered Dietitian since 2006. My current credentials are: Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN), Licensed Dietitian (LD), Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC), Certified Specialist in Pediatric Critical Care (CSPCC), and CPR/Heart-saver. I also have a degree in Culinary Arts with a prior background as a Chef. My passion for food is what paved the way to my true passion of food science/nutrition and helping others in the midst of their diseases and complications affecting their health. I also advocate strongly for preventative care with appropriate nutrition-centered lifestyle. I have a well-rounded experience in all age groups: preterm infants/Neonates, Infants/Children, Adolescents, Teenagers, Young Adults, Adults, and the Elderly. My extremely versatile experience has lead me to help countless patients and families struggling with nutritional issues in and out of a hospital setting in nearly all disease states for about 20 years now, such as Diabetes (Type 1 & 2), Gastrointestinal issues, Cardiovascular diseases and issues, Kidney disease/Dialysis, feeding difficulties, weight management, Nutrition Support (IV Nutrition/Tube Feeding), Eating Disorders, and many more. My hobbies include: hiking, biking, volleyball, baseball, pickle ball, and leading and participating in free small work-out groups around my community for 45-60+ minutes each morning. I have a wonderful family of my own and understand the challenges that children and adults may bring to the table.
