Kathleen Richmond, MPH, RDN, LDN, is a nutrition professional with experience in public health, clinical nutrition, corporate consulting, and private practice.
Her career included employment in the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps as a public health nutritionist; having a private practice in San Francisco and working as a specialist surveyor for the California Department of Public Health. She was a writer for the American Institutes for Research and provided input into Federal nursing home regulations (OBRA). Kathleen has been a nutrition consultant for skilled nursing facilities and a clinical dietitian in acute care and home healthcare. She is co-editor of the 4th edition of Nutrition Care of the Older Adult, and executive committee reviewer for the 2024 revision of the Standards of Practice and Standards of Professional Performance for RDNs in Post-Acute and Long-Term Care.

She received her BS degree in food science and nutrition from Colorado State University and her MPH degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Michigan. She has been a RD and member of AND for over 40 years, and lives in Sarasota, FL with her husband.
