Hi, I’m Heather, Registered Dietitian! For 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of helping people on their health journeys. My passion for nutrition and education began in college with advice and influence from my family members. I witnessed the effects nutrition had on a family member who struggled with Inflammatory Bowel Disease and saw the impacts in people’s lives educators in my family had. Dietetics was the perfect fit to combine both areas of nutrition and education to be able to help others improve their health.
I have a variety of experience in health and nutrition, ranging from being an educator to working as a Clinical Dietitian in Acute and Outpatient care settings. My work is focused on holistic, personalized care. I lead with empathy and am passionate about using evidence-based strategies to create nutrition plans that best suit your lifestyle. Together we will develop a plan to help you meet your goals, whether it is to improve your quality of life, prevent chronic disease, or manage a chronic condition.
What to Expect:
In our first session, we will get to know each other, review your health history along with any recent available laboratory value results. I will complete a comprehensive assessment of your needs. In a nonjudgmental environment, we will discuss your current dietary patterns, food preferences, and your typical daily habits to get a better understanding of your individual needs. Together we will begin building a personalized plan and set individualized small, achievable short-term and long-term goals.
From there, we can schedule future appointments as needed for continued education and support. In these visits, we will review your progress toward your goals, adjust your plan as needed, address any barriers or concerns you may have, and celebrate your successes along the way. I’ll strive for you to leave feeling supported, understood, and empowered as we take first steps toward improving your health with sustainable lifestyle change.

Hobbies:
I enjoy outdoor activities with my sons and my Husband. We love camping, biking, hiking, swimming, and traveling. We all love to laugh and enjoy music as well! I enjoy reading and learning, especially discovering new cultures and foods. I have also recently rediscovered my creative side and enjoy drawing, pottery, and painting.
