I grew up in San Antonio, Texas, where I currently live with my husband, cats and chickens. I love to work in my garden and take care of the chickens. I’m active outdoors, either biking, walking or hiking . I also love to dance, crochet, knit, and make jewelry.
I have been a dietitian for 31 years and a diabetes educator for 20 years. I graduated from Incarnate Word with my Bachelor’s of Science in Nutrition and then attended Texas Woman’s University and graduated with my Master’s of Science in Nutition while simultaneously completing from my dietetic internship at the Houston VA Hospital.
A majority of my career has been spent in the outpatient sector. I have worked for the VA hospital in San Antonio, the Gonzaba Clinic, Diabetes America, Novo Nordisk and even had a private practice.
I’ve always had a passion for helping people learn new skills whether it was in nutrition, caring for animals or doing crafts. I love to work with clients who are willing to put in as much work as I do to help them achieve their goals.
I have a passion for helping people. I know that managing chronic conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure and metabolic disorders like obesity can be very challenging. Let me help you meet your health goals by teaching you skills that will help you cut thru all the diet hype and find a lifestyle that suits you! Say goodbye to self-judgment, guilt and fear and embrace your true self!
