Emahlea Wilcher, RD

I'm a Registered Dietitian (RD) who is also licensed in various states. I have a master of public health from University of Washington (go Huskies!), which is also where I completed my supervised practice experience (internship). Now, I'm located all the way on the opposite side of the country in Raleigh, North Carolina.

When you work with me, you can expect to set strong goals and I'll guide you along in how to meet them. I use a trauma-informed approach so we can move at the pace that is most comfortable and safe for you. My expertise is in disordered eating, eating disorders, and food insecurity. If you have a challenging relationship with food and your body, I'll work alongside you to strengthen and heal that relationship. I utilize the principles of motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy to help you achieve your goals. I center my practice around body respect, allowing you to develop a peaceful relationship with food that allows you to grow in a direction that works best for you.

In my free time, I like to hang out with my dogs and cat, play guitar, and try new foods!
