Background

Expectations

In our sessions together, you can expect a supportive and judgment-free space where your experiences with food, body image, and health are taken seriously. My goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and empowered as we work together to better understand your relationship with food.

Through our work, many clients begin to develop a more satisfying approach to eating. We may explore patterns around food and body image, challenge rigid food rules, and work toward building sustainable habits that support both your physical and emotional well-being. Over time, my hope is that you leave sessions feeling more confident in your choices, less overwhelmed by food decisions, and more connected to your body’s needs.

Our work together will move at a pace that feels safe and realistic for you. My role is to guide, support, and provide evidence-based tools while respecting your unique experiences and goals.

Focus Areas

As a dietitian, I focus on supporting individuals who want to improve their relationship with food and their bodies. I work particularly well with individuals experiencing disordered eating patterns, chronic dieting, food guilt, or body image concerns. I use a weight-inclusive and anti-diet approach that emphasizes sustainable habits and long-term well-being rather than strict rules or short-term fixes.

I also have a strong commitment to providing affirming and culturally responsive care for LGBTQ+ clients and strive to create a space where individuals feel respected and supported in their identities and experiences.

If you’re looking to move away from rigid food rules, reduce anxiety around eating, or develop a more peaceful and balanced relationship with food, we may be a great fit to work together.

Credentials

• Bachelor of Science in Nutrition

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) since 2013

Personal

Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our two adorable dachshunds. I also enjoy painting and spending time in nature. These activities help me slow down, reconnect with creativity, and appreciate the simple moments that support overall well-being.

Just like many of my clients, I understand that life is full of responsibilities, stress, and competing priorities. Taking time to care for ourselves—whether through rest, movement, connection, or creativity—is an important part of maintaining balance, and it’s something I try to practice in my own life as well.

Drive

My path to becoming a Registered Dietitian began with a deep curiosity about nutrition and how the foods we eat influence our health. I was fascinated by the science behind how nutrition supports the body and how it can play a role in preventing and managing diseases.

Over time, however, I realized that nutrition is about much more than nutrients alone. Many people struggle not just with what to eat, but with the emotional and psychological weight that food can carry—feelings of restriction, guilt, shame, and pressure to follow rigid rules.

This realization led me to pursue nutrition counseling. I’m passionate about helping individuals move away from cycles of restriction and self-criticism and toward a more compassionate and sustainable relationship with food and their bodies. My goal is to help people experience greater freedom and flexibility with eating so they can focus less on food rules and more on living a life that feels meaningful, satisfying, and aligned with their values.
