As a Registered Dietitian, I'm passionate about helping people build a healthier, more confident relationship with food. My journey into nutrition started early—I competed at the state level in track and tennis growing up, which sparked my fascination with how food fuels our bodies. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Family Studies from Brigham Young University and my Master's Degree in Dietetics from Eastern Michigan University. During my dietetics internships, I gained diverse experience everywhere from clinical settings at Intermountain Health in Utah to a rural coastal hospital in Oregon, plus working with athletes in the University of Utah's sports program.
My passion for nutrition took on deeper meaning when I was diagnosed with lupus at age 21. Suddenly, I wasn't just interested in nutrition academically—I needed to understand how food could help manage a chronic disease. Through working with healthcare professionals and making targeted lifestyle changes, my lupus symptoms are now in remission, and I'm healthier than I've ever been. This personal experience gives me unique insight into the mental and physical challenges that come with managing chronic conditions, and it drives my commitment to compassionate, whole-person care.
I've had the opportunity to present research on nutrition and rheumatic disease at UAND, Utah's largest annual dietetics conference. Today, I specialize in lupus and autoimmune conditions, diabetic care, weight management, and helping people heal their relationship with food. When I'm not working with clients, you'll find me embracing my Utah roots—skiing down a mountain, out for a run, or savoring a slice of homemade bread. I believe good health should enhance your life, not restrict it.
