Hi, I’m Tessa, a Registered Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist with years of experience specializing in the treatment of eating disorders. I earned my undergraduate degree in Biology with a Premed focus from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and went on to complete my Master’s in Dietetics at Nova Southeastern University. My passion for this work runs deep, both professionally and personally, and it’s what led me to start my own private practice dedicated to helping individuals heal their relationship with food and their bodies.
I provide nutrition counseling for individuals struggling with all types of eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID), and other specified feeding or eating disorders (OSFED). My approach combines evidence-based nutrition therapy, compassion, and collaboration to help clients rediscover trust in their bodies, find balance, and cultivate a life beyond their eating disorder.
Clients working with me can expect a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where we work together to
challenge food rules and fears,
rebuild body trust and intuition,
foster a more compassionate and flexible relationship with food, and develop tools for long-term recovery and sustainable nourishment.
I know firsthand how challenging and isolating an eating disorder can feel, I’ve been there myself. Having walked through my own recovery, I bring not only professional expertise but also deep empathy and understanding to every session. My personal experience allows me to connect on a level that goes beyond nutrition; helping clients feel seen, heard, and genuinely supported.
Outside of my work, I find joy in baking, running, and spending time with my two goldendoodle pups, friends, and family. These simple pleasures remind me of the beauty in balance, something I strive to help each of my clients discover in their own lives.
Starting this private practice has been a dream rooted in purpose; to be an advocate, a source of hope, and a guide for anyone navigating the recovery journey. My goal is to meet you exactly where you are and walk alongside you as you move toward a life of freedom, nourishment, and self-acceptance.
"My approach is rooted in compassion, evidence-based care, and lived experience. I help clients heal their relationship with food and body through individualized nutrition counseling that combines Medical Nutrition Therapy, Intuitive Eating, and HAES principles. With empathy and collaboration, I create a safe space to rebuild trust, challenge food fears, and find freedom and peace in recovery."
