Background

About

Hi, I’m Rachel Chen, a Registered Dietitian with over seven years of experience supporting individuals across a wide range of health concerns. I earned my bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and have worked in both hospital-based and telehealth settings. As a Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN), I bring a practical, compassionate, and collaborative approach to every session. Outside of work, I enjoy nature walks and experimenting with new recipes. I’m grateful for the opportunity to help people nourish themselves in a way that truly fits their lives.

Care philosophy

My care philosophy is to meet you exactly where you are and work collaboratively toward lasting, meaningful change. I use motivational interviewing to support growth that feels aligned with your values, readiness, and goals. Grounded in evidence-based nutrition, I translate guidance into practical, realistic steps you can actually implement in daily life. I deeply respect and honor each person’s unique background, biochemistry, culture, lived experience, and preferences, and I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel seen, heard, and respected in every session.

What to expect in your first session

Our first appointment is all about you. We'll review your medical history, daily routines, and current nutrition concerns, and I'll invite you to share what you hope to achieve. We'll talk openly about obstacles and what success looks like for you. You don't need to have everything figured out before we meet. Together we'll create a personalized plan with 1-2 realistic goals to start, and I'll explain the why behind each step so you feel supported and capable.

Approach

I take a holistic, client-centered approach, looking at every etiological factor that could be contributing to a concern or condition.
