Background

Hi! I’m Nicolette - a Registered Dietitian who graduated summa cum laude, from Long Island University and for the past seven years I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside people as they heal their relationship with food and their bodies. I specialize in working with those living with eating disorders and/or disordered eating, and diabetes—because I’ve lived those struggles myself and know just how overwhelming they can feel.

My journey started when I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 13. At first, I developed a complicated love–hate relationship with food. But everything changed when I met my pediatric dietitian, Barbie — she helped me see food in an entirely new light, as something that could nurture me rather than control me. Her compassion planted the seed for what would later become my life’s work.

Years later, I found myself struggling again, this time with disordered eating. Discovering intuitive eating was nothing short of life-saving! Learning to trust my body’s cues, to honor hunger and fullness, and to move in ways that made me feel alive rather than chasing weight goals—it completely freed me from the food prison I had been stuck in.

Now, my greatest joy is helping others find that same freedom. I guide my clients to let go of diets and rigid rules, and instead reconnect with their body’s innate wisdom, choosing foods they enjoy and that make them feel good inside and out. My mission is simple but powerful: to help people feel at peace with food, at home in their body, and confident in the knowledge that they deserve nourishment without guilt or shame.

Approach

"I’m deeply passionate about helping those with disordered eating and diabetes. Living with type 1 diabetes since childhood and overcoming disordered eating myself has given me unique insight. My approach is gentle and realistic—focusing on small, manageable changes while guiding clients toward intuitive eating and recognizing patterns that may trigger old struggles. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where you feel empowered to build lasting peace with food and your body."
