Background

I’m Natalie , founder of Iron Roots Nutrition, LLC and a Texas native who discovered my passion for nutrition more than 15 years ago while intentionally exploring how food impacts energy, performance, and long-term health. What began as a personal journey evolved into a calling to help others build sustainable nutrition habits that truly support their lives.

I’ve always loved staying active—through gymnastics, figure skating, hiking, soccer, tennis, and weightlifting—and I’m driven by challenge. Becoming a Registered Dietitian (RD) allowed me to combine science, performance, and purpose into meaningful work that helps people feel stronger and more confident in their bodies.

I earned my BS in Nutrition from the University of Texas at Austin (hook ’em horns!) and completed my supervised practice at Meredith College in Raleigh, NC. Since becoming an RD, I’ve worked with individuals across a wide range of health backgrounds, helping them improve energy, support recovery, build balanced eating patterns, and create realistic strategies that fit their lifestyle.

Through Iron Roots Nutrition, LLC, I help clients align their nutrition with their goals and values—whether that means enhancing athletic performance, improving metabolic health, navigating dietary transitions, or simply building a healthier relationship with food. I work with a range of dietary preferences and focus on practical, evidence-based approaches tailored to each individual.

Outside of work, I love being in nature, immersing myself in music, traveling, cooking, and discovering new cultures through cuisine. I bring that same curiosity and energy into helping clients explore new ways to thrive.
