As a registered dietitian with 12 years of experience and a PhD in Nutritional Sciences, I blend science-based practices with holistic and intuitive approaches to help clients achieve their health goals. My dissertation focused on whole-body protein utilization in exercising individuals, and my early career centered on exercise nutrition for collegiate athletes and protein intake for middle-aged yoga practitioners. I also completed 200-hour Ashtanga yoga teacher training, which informs my emphasis on mindfulness and breathing techniques for health and wellness.
I’ve worked in both outpatient and inpatient settings, helping individuals optimize health and performance, as well as manage specific metabolic conditions. I’m passionate about showing clients that chronic disease doesn’t mean sacrificing flavor and satisfaction in their food. By combining personalized medical history with preferences, I help clients set realistic goals and improve their health.
My specialties include sports nutrition, eating disorders, mindful eating, healthy aging, diabetes, weight management, celiac disease, enteral nutrition, and cardiovascular health. Recently, I’ve pursued continuing education in IBD, weight loss surgery, and GLP-1 use. I’m also excited to train in Quantum Healing Hypnosis Therapy to help clients release past traumas and unlock their full health potential.
Outside of work, I love cooking and experimenting with recipes in my Maine kitchen, and enjoy outdoor activities with my family, dog, and friends—especially hiking, biking, and paddleboarding in the summer. I’m also a proud horse show mom and have recently embraced the rewarding experience of coaching softball. I look forward to working with you on your health journey!
