Hello! My name is Lesley Lovely and I am have been a registered dietitian since 1995 and I have been a certified diabetes educator since 1998. I like to combine both of these backgrounds with up to date research to help people of all ages meet their health goals through using food as medicine. I also enjoy serving as a health coach during follow up visits to help ensure you are getting adequate sleep, managing reasonable stress, and getting appropriate movement. If we are struggling emotionally, odds are we will also be struggling to take care of ourselves with proper nutrition, proper rest, and healthy movement. I enjoy helping people to understand the best dietary intake that works for you during this season of your life. It is very rewarding to see people learn how to listen to their bodies in regards to what helps you to get full, stay full, and have good energy, good mental clarity, as well as a good mood. A healthy low inflammatory diet that supports your mitochondria and gut microbiome can help you to feel better than you have felt in years. When you feel better, you will take better care of yourself. I know that from personal experience. I look forward to having the opportunity to teach you many things that will benefit your health and longevity.
"At my initial visit, I like to conduct a thorough medical history as well as dietary history to assess your current level of inflammation, your current microbiome, and the current health of your mitochondria. These are all the most up to date areas of health research that determines how well we are and how well we will age throughout our lifespan. Based on my assessment, I may recommend digestive aids and specific nutrients that may be beneficial to supplement to help you to feel better."
