Hello everyone! My name is Dr. Lauren Troisi, and I am a Registered Dietitian. I did my Undergraduate course work at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT, where I majored in Molecular and Cellular Biology as well as minored in Chemistry. I then received my Doctor of Clinical Nutrition from Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT. I am a credentialed RD through the CDR and additionally licensed in the State of Connecticut. I have clinical experience in pediatrics, geriatrics, outpatient nutrition counseling, as well as both acute and critical care nutrition.
My approach to nutrition counseling is rooted in compassion, inclusivity, and science. I believe that health is multifaceted and get to know each of my clients on a personal level. My practice centers on understanding each client as a whole and acknowledging their unique physical, emotional, cultural, and social experiences with food and nutrition. I take a weight-neutral, non-diet approach to nutrition, which means I do not use weight as the sole or primary indicator of health. Instead, I focus on sustainable behavior change, intuitive eating principles, and cultivating a respectful and nourishing relationship with food. I recognize that health can look different for everyone, and I work to support clients in finding what health means for them. My work is grounded in evidence-based research. I stay current with the latest nutrition research and apply it in ways that are both practical and personalized. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions, I work collaboratively with clients to identify their goals, values, and barriers. Together, we can create realistic and empowering strategies that support physical and emotional well-being. That can mean anything from managing a chronic condition, healing from disordered eating, or simply feeling more at peace with food. Ultimately, my goal is to help clients reconnect with their bodies, build trust in their internal cues, and experience food as a source of nourishment without stress or shame. I strive to create a space that is safe, judgment-free, and grounded in respect for each client’s unique experience.
