Hi, I'm Doug!
I became a dietitian because I believe nutrition is one of the most powerful tools we have—not just for managing weight or improving lab values, but for enhancing mental health, increasing longevity, and building a life that feels good. After spending a year in full-time practice, the best part of my job is still helping people design routines and habits that make them both healthy and happy.
My approach is practical, flexible, and built around you. I work with adults who are ready to take action—whether that's optimizing performance, losing weight, improving digestive health, or getting labs like cholesterol, blood pressure, or A1C back in range. I specialize in general health and longevity, weight management, gut health, intuitive eating, and integrative and functional nutrition. My goal is to help you develop a relationship with food that aligns with your health goals, your busy schedule, and your preferences. I believe there are many different ways to eat well, and we don't have to compromise on what we enjoy to get results.
What to expect when working with me: Together, we'll demystify the overwhelming and often contradictory nutrition information you see online and build a strong foundation in the fundamentals. I focus on helping you become confident and flexible in your approach, which makes your new habits sustainable long-term. You'll walk away from our sessions not just knowing what to do, but understanding why—and feeling empowered to apply it in real life. I adapt to each client's needs, whether you thrive with more accountability, scientific references, or a different style of support.
One thing that sets me apart: I encourage interaction outside of our scheduled sessions. I want you to know I'm part of your support system and a resource you can always reach out to with questions, observations, or ideas you're considering.
When I'm not working, you'll find me with a cup of coffee in hand, exploring the latest discoveries in nutrition and health. I'm a lover of music and all things outdoors—skiing in the winter and backpacking or climbing mountains in the summer. I've worked hard to build a life and routine that makes me healthy and happy, and I'm here to help you do the same.
"Think of me as your nutrition guide, not your food police. I work with people who are tired of conflicting advice and actually want to understand what they're doing and why. We'll figure out an approach that fits your real life—your schedule, what you like to eat, your goals—without the Instagram myths or cookie-cutter plans. I teach you the science so you can make confident decisions. I'm available between sessions too—your questions don't wait for appointments. I'm invested in your success. "
