I guess you could say that I bring the wisdom of age and a fair amount of experience to the table. I am proudly a RDN of close to 30 years and have worked in all kinds of clinical and community settings. BS in Human Nutrition from UMASS at Amherst, MS in General Management with a Food Service and Nutrition Concentration from Lesley University. An amazing Dietetic Internship from Simmons College in Boston allowing me the finest experiences in Nutrition through Boston Medical Center, Joslin Clinic for Diabetes, Commonwealth of Massachusetts for Community Nutrition. I've worked in hospitals, childcare centers, day care centers, nursing homes, meals on wheels, mental health and addictions facilities, university clinics, even prisons, and of course private practice. Along the way I have found we all want the same thing, to learn, to grow, to take care of ourselves and those around us. Nutrition is the most basic way we nourish our bodies and our souls. I have been blessed to learn - and keep on learning -as much as I can about it and to share it with others.
"Through simple changes in your diet, I can help you lead the healthier lifestyle that you desire. Together we can develop cost effective meal plans and recipes, and easy plans for time management difficulties. I will stick with you if you have a bad week - or two and help you stay on track. Change in nutrition is like any behavior change. It takes time and effort. You can do it. I'll be there if you need me."
